Staying Alive! in Avalanche Terrain

SPART members, partnering with the US Forest Service, the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center, and the Cascade Backcountry Ski Patrol, have placed signs at popular winter trail heads.  These signs aim to educate the public about the dangers of traveling in snowy terrain.

This work was presented by members Scott Waller, Andy Hill, and Dick Willy at the 2012 ISSW in Anchorage, AK.  Details of that presentation are available on the ISSW website.
