Every year, SPART hosts a booth at the Summit at Snoqualmie Safety Fair. This is an opportunity to educate the public about backcountry safety and the role of Search and Rescue. If you’re around, stop by and visit!

SPART members set up an information booth at the BANFF film festival sponsored by the Tacoma Mountaineers December 1 & 2, 2014. Members provided information and resources about backcountry safety and Search and Rescue.

SPART members provided medical first aid support to Obliteride participants during the August 8 – 10, 2014 event. Obliteride is a biking fundraiser that has raised over $4.1 million per year for the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Institute. SPART is proud to support the event and the cause. SPART members provide National Ski Patrol Avalanche 1 and 2 courses for the area Ski Patrols and Search and Rescue units. SPART members also provide training in the National Ski Patrol’s Mountain Travel and Rescue curriculum.
SPART members organize and volunteer to provide boots-on-the-ground medical care at Seattle’s annual Seafair weekend. Volunteers patrol the lakefront area to provide first-aid care to those in need.

SPART members, partnering with the US Forest Service, the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center, and the Cascade Backcountry Ski Patrol, have placed signs at popular winter trail heads.
