Education
Mountain rescue is a team discipline. When conditions deteriorate and the margin for error disappears, the difference between a successful rescue and a tragedy often comes down to preparation, not just individual skill, but the shared competency of a team that has trained together for exactly this kind of terrain and exactly this kind of pressure.

Outreach
Not everyone who heads into the backcountry has formal avalanche training. Some are experienced but out of practice. Some are newer to winter travel and still building their awareness. Some just need a reminder at the right moment, in the right place.
