Education

Mountain rescue is a team discipline. When conditions deteriorate and the margin for error disappears, the difference between a successful rescue and a tragedy often comes down to preparation, not just individual skill, but the shared competency of a team that has trained together for exactly this kind of terrain and exactly this kind of pressure.

SPART develops that competency. As a recognized course provider through the National Ski Patrol (NSP), we deliver avalanche education aligned with the standards of the American Avalanche Association (A3) and Mountain Travel and Rescue (MTR) training that meets nationally recognized benchmarks for land search and rescue. Our courses are taught by credentialed instructors with active field experience in King County and across the Pacific Northwest — people who have worked real rescues in the same mountains where our students will one day respond.

Our programs are designed for active ski patrollers and search and rescue responders, and we have a particular focus on serving SAR units throughout Washington State and the Pacific Northwest. Whether your unit needs foundational avalanche awareness, advanced rescue skills, or technical rope rescue training, SPART offers the structured, field-heavy curriculum that serious rescue organizations require.
